1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Convertible
I bought this little beauty to redo as gift for my son who was serving a 2-year mission for the church in Spain. It was born and raised in Pittsburgh so it was in pretty sad shape by the time it made its way to Tucson. I spent the whole 2 years working things over.
This is one of the only photographs taken of the car before is burned to the ground. Here son Adam poses for the camera in front of his newly aquired gem. (Taken January 1995)
One day on his way to work, a fire broke out in the shift tunnel (we think). This was the scene after the fire department did its duty. Pretty much a total lose. The engine now resides in another car.
