Interior Ideas for you '60-'65 Chevy/GMC Pickup
A Really Nice Instrument Panel
Richard Twiddy has done nice things with his dash. Click on the pictures to see a bigger version. The gauges are from www.classicinstruments.net and are the "Classic" series. The panel that fits inside the dash bezel is a fabrication by Rich and a streetrodder machinist buddy. The turn signal and high beam indicators are from Yogi's (cheap). The remote gauges are housed in angle bezels from Autometer (again, cheap... around $10 for 3-pack). The gauges themselves are extra easy to install and hook up.
In-Dash Tach for those who don't have a factory unit
Does your '64-'66 dash cry for a tachometer? Here's an idea that might get you going.
Here's the finished product. It looks like it belongs and gets the job done - and it's cheap!

Nice Door Panel Treatment
Dave McKinney covered his '64 door panels with vinyl using 3M heavy duty spray adhesive and then used some chrome clip-on trim (it also comes in black) that can be purchased in rolls at your local parts store or JC Whitney.
Using Dave's idea, Van Pershing covered the door panels of his '65 with the same material he used on the headliner. The cloth is rolled over the edges of the panel instead of using the chrome trim. The arm rests were meant for a '65 Chevelle but look much nicer in a pickup! Click on the photo to make it larger.
Roger's Chrome Plated Instrument Panel Bezel

How about chrome plating your instrument panel like Route66 did. Roger didn't have the bucks to spend on the fancy instruments but wanted something nice so he spent about $115 for the nice results you see here.

Lee's Vacuum Gauge Addition
Lee Aanderud of Lexington, South Carolina added a vacuum gauge from a Pontiac/Oldsmobile to his instrument pod. Visit Lee's site an watch the progress of his truck.
