My First Corvair

Upon returning from a mission is Chile in 1966, my wonderful parents purchased a car for me. A fellow stationed at the Vance  Air Force base in Enid, Oklahoma who worked with my Dad got transferred and had to sell his car. When I arrived it awaited ready to roll back to Arizona. The pictures below are the only ones we have have and don't really do it justice since my buddies "redecorated" it in honor of our marriage. There was rice in the defroster vents the day we sold it many years later.

The hub caps were lock securely in the trunk so my friends could play any dirty tricks on us!!

Later in it's life it received a yellow coat of paint and served us well for many years.
